Perfect day

April 27, 2011

April 25, Surf City

I can honestly say that the trip between Freeman Park and Surf City was the easiest I’ve had in a long time. The current was literally ripping in the correct direction the entire day and the wind was from the side. I did not pedal much. I had a tuna wrap at a marina in Wrightsville . When I got to Surf City, the Blackbeard Campground was right on the water. The owner let me set my tent beside my kayak. Now that’s a perfect day.

Been following all along. Photography has been fantastic as well as your narration of the Adventure. Be Safe!!

    • Thanks Mike, you should come and do a part of my trip. I’ll be at the Chesapeake Bay in about 10 days.

I have been following your trip from close to the beginning. I have really enjoyed your posts and have always wanted to do something similar. Good Luck the rest of the way and I hope you have many more days with favorable currents and wind. I live in Austin, TX and like yourself enjoy freediving and kayaking.
